Grupo BL Engenharia, a leading provider of integrated railway infrastructure solutions across South and North America, continues to expand its international footprint with major projects in Mexico. The company has actively contributed to the construction of critical sections of the national railway system, showcasing its technical expertise, operational capacity, and commitment to the highest quality standards demanded by the industry.
The company played a key role in the Tren Maya Project, specifically in Section 4, which connects Mérida to Cancún, and Section 5, between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. The services were carried out in partnership with ICA and involved specialized technical guidance, sleeper implementation and replacement, dynamic track stabilization using P-61 equipment, as well as the operation of Harsco 6700 J2 tamping machines and Kershaw S-26 regulators.
In Section 6 of the Tren Maya project in Chetumal, in collaboration with Marro Construções, Grupo BL provided its own equipment, such as the Plasser 08-32, for railway construction work.
With a focus on excellence, Grupo BL was responsible for the complete execution of railway infrastructure and superstructure, utilizing topographic data collected according to the highest standards of reliability and precision. CEOs Bruna Tanuma and Luthanno Bicas—who is also an expert from a technical standpoint—led the technical oversight of the project, supervising the issuance of altitude and planimetry reports that were crucial for the proper orientation of operational teams and the alignment of services with the strict standards set by Sedena (Mexico’s Secretariat of National Defense).
Grupo BL’s operations in Mexico were further supported by its subsidiary, BL American Corporation, based in the United States, which provided equipment and specialists for Section 6, ensuring direct technical support for local operators.
