BL Engenharia Supports Contarolar Project and Promotes Reading and Social Transformation Initiatives

BL Engenharia, committed to social and human development, has been a proud supporter of the Contarolar project—an initiative that uses literature, storytelling, and art education as tools to transform lives and strengthen cultural identity. The project has gained visibility across Brazil and beyond, sharing the multilingual book “Clara: Finding My Identity” with schools and communities.

Even though the Itinerant Library is temporarily grounded for maintenance, the Contarolar initiative continues to soar. Through lectures, performances, and book donations, the project has promoted reading and made a lasting impact on hundreds of children and young people. The Clara book has already reached countries in the Americas, Europe, and Africa, becoming a symbol of diversity, belonging, and empathy.

BL Engenharia has played a key role in supporting this movement. By sponsoring the production of educational materials, purchasing supplies, and hiring local professionals, the company not only strengthens the regional creative economy but also expands its mission as a driver of social change.

Recently, the project held a special lecture during the “Orange May” awareness campaign and donated copies of the book at Escola Estadual Sinval, in Governador Valadares (MG), Brazil. The event addressed themes such as identity, protection, and citizenship, in partnership with NAE/SRE GV, and was filled with moments of inspiration and empowerment.

Additionally, renowned illustrator Rafael Lima, who brought the Contarolar books to life, recorded a special message for students at E.E. Vila Isa, emphasizing the power of “Bridges of Love” built through public education and access to reading.

“From railway tracks to the heart of humankind, BL has been the engineering that enables the construction of a better future,” said the Contarolar team in gratitude.

Through this partnership, BL Engenharia reaffirms its mission to build not only major infrastructure projects but also symbolic bridges that connect knowledge, empathy, and citizenship.
