Key Features:
High-quality welding: The electronic control system ensures a stable welding process, according to pre-defined parameters, producing high-quality joints. The welding head can weld rails with a cross-section of up to 10,000 mm².
Access to hard-to-reach locations: The welding head is designed to weld close to turnouts, where standard welding heads would not fit. The new generation RW1060 machines feature an advanced hydraulic force accumulator discharge system, increasing upsetting speed, which is crucial for modern steel materials.
Operation and safety: The unit operates with high-flash-point fluid, and all cables and hoses are equipped with fireproof protections. The equipment includes a diesel generator set and an internal cooling system integrated into the original excavator design.
Control and automation: The welding process is automatically controlled by an Allan Bradley CompactLogix controller. The system can store a wide range of welding programs, and the welding cycle is completed in a single automatic sequence, from alignment to removal of excess material. The machine has a production rate of up to 12 welds per hour in the regular process and 18 welds per hour in the pulse process.
